RESEARCH INTEREST AND SCHOLARLY ACTIVITY

Dr. Lovely’s primary research interest is in the field of solar physics, with focus on dynamics of upper solar atmosphere including active regions, flares and coronal mass ejections. Her research emphasis till date has been on linking various issues related to solar cycle and activity phenomena and influence of these on global climate. She has been grooming bright science graduate and post-graduate students in the areas of Solar Physics, Nuclear Physics, Particle Physics, Solid State Physics, Statistical Physics, Astronomy and Quantum Mechanics. She has co-guided post-graduate science students in short projects in the areas of Solar Physics.
